This rat IgG2a isotype control antibody, conjugated with PE-Cy7, is designed for use in flow cytometry to assess non-specific binding of rat IgG2a antibodies. The 2A3 clone binds to trinitrophenol (TNP), a hapten not present on human cells, resulting in minimal background signal. It serves as an effective control for experiments utilizing rat IgG2a primary antibodies.
