About this product
Substrate Reagent Pack
Overview
The Substrate Reagent Pack (Catalog # DY999) from R&D Systems is a set of chromogenic ELISA substrate solutions formulated to produce a blue color in the presence of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated detection reagents and, upon acid stop, a yellow signal measurable at ~450 nm. The pack includes paired reagents that are mixed immediately prior to use to support color development in immunoassays and other HRP-based detection formats. This reagent pack is intended for research use in sandwich ELISAs and similar assays.
Highlights
- Includes multiple vials of matched substrate reagents for ELISA colour development
- Optimised for use with HRP-conjugated detection systems
- Generates a measurable chromogenic signal at ~450 nm upon reaction and stopping
- Ready to mix and apply to microplate wells for consistent development

Applications
This reagent pack is used in sandwich ELISAs and other immunoassays that employ HRP-conjugated detection antibodies or streptavidin-HRP to generate a colourimetric signal. Upon addition to assay wells and timed incubation, the TMB substrate system produces a quantifiable signal proportional to analyte concentration, suitable for research workflows in cytokine, growth factor, biomarker and protein quantification studies.
