About this product
Sartorius Incucyte Cytolight Rapid Dye
Description
Sartorius Incucyte Cytolight Rapid Dye is a fluorescent reagent for rapid cytoplasmic labeling of living cells in live-cell assays.
Key Features
- After entering cells, the dye is transformed into cell-impermeant fluorescent probes that are transferred by dilution to daughter cells rather than adjacent cells.
- At optimized concentrations, labeling is non-perturbing to growth and morphology in healthy cells and remains well-retained in cells.
- Suitable for cell types that are difficult to label using BacMam, lentivirus or other transfection-based approaches.
- Validated for use with the Incucyte Live-Cell Analysis System and integrated software.
Applications
- Identifying labeled cell locations and monitoring dynamic interactions in mixed cultures.
- Immune-cell killing assays, including cytotoxic T-cell killing, antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity and immune-cell killing in tumor spheroid models.
- Combining live-cell labeling with Incucyte Cell Health Reagents for simultaneous apoptosis or cytotoxicity readouts.
Specifications
- Form: Dry powder.
- Labeling capacity: 10–90 million cells, depending on optimized concentration.
- Storage: Store dry powder desiccated at -20 °C; after solubilization with DMSO, store the solution at -20 °C and protect it from light.
Disclaimer
Signal intensity decreases as fluorescence is diluted between daughter cells; measurements beyond 48 hours post-labeling are generally not recommended. Long-term proliferation measurements in fast-growing cells are also not recommended because declining fluorescence can impair fluorescence area and count metrics.
